The jury for the Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière Photography Prize—Académie des Beaux-Arts, which met on September 10, 2026, at the Palais de l’Institut de France, reviewed the 21 shortlisted entries this year and selected Sophie Zénon as the winner of the 2026 edition of the Prize for her project Odyssée Végétale.

Galerie XII Paris is pleased to present The Reverse Side of the Visible, a group exhibition bringing together artists from the gallery and guest artists from various disciplines.
By juxtaposing contemporary photography with painting, sculpture, textiles, and drawing, the exhibition explores what remains of a gesture once it is no longer visible. Through imprints, strata, and transformations, the works reveal the forms of persistence that inhabit matter and images. October 2–31, 2026.

As part of the major celebrations marking the Bicentenary of Photography, this 18th edition will spotlight the ways in which photographers continue to reinvent the medium, opening up new fields of sensitivity and reflection.

Celebrating the publication of Paolo Ventura’s 50th book, Acrobats (Cimorelli Editore, 2026), MiCamera (Milano) dedicates a special exhibition to the artist, showcasing all fifty books published throughout his career.
Books have been part of Paolo Ventura’s story since long before he began making them himself. As a child, he would accompany his father — a renowned author of books for children and young adults — on his Saturday-afternoon rounds of Milan’s bookshops: Milano Libri, Hoepli and the Salto brothers’ Bookshop, one of the places where, in the 1950s, artists such as Fontana, Veronesi and Munari used to meet. Ventura says he does not remember those afternoons as boring, but as filled with “great warmth”. And it was at Milano Libri, while still in high school, that he bought his first photography book, almost by chance.
